Pedro A. Manibusan Jr., DO, MBA

Dr. Pedro Manibusan brings over 28 years of distinguished medical service to Mililani Gastro, combining advanced expertise in gastroenterology with a lifelong commitment to serving his community.

A graduate of Touro University of California, Dr. Manibusan completed his internal medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and his gastroenterology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He further specialized in advanced GI endoscopy during his final military deployment in Afghanistan through training at Oregon Health Sciences University.

During his nearly three decades of active-duty military service, Dr. Manibusan served as Deputy Consultant for Gastroenterology to the Army Surgeon General, mentoring young physicians and presenting at national conferences on impactful GI topics. He has authored numerous publications and guided many internal medicine residents into successful gastroenterology careers.

Originally from Guam, Dr. Manibusan has called Mililani home for over 20 years, where he and his wife—who is from Kauai—raised their children. In addition to his military career, he has remained active in the community as a volunteer for local schools and special needs programs, and continues to care for veterans across Hawaii, Guam, and Samoa as a part-time VA provider. He has also extended GI care to underserved areas on Maui and Hawai‘i Island.

Now retired from the Army, Dr. Manibusan is excited to focus on caring for the people of Mililani and Central Oahu, offering both general gastroenterology and advanced endoscopic care with compassion, skill, and a deep understanding of the community he serves.
